Crawler Error Corrected
by Xxav on August 6, 2009, 10:02 am, under WoW Crawler
If you had trouble receiving credit for a kill or achievement since 3.2 was released please queue your guild again. I just realized Blizzard went back and changed the name of all the old achievements to be the same format as the new Crusader ones (ie. Heroic: Shattered became Shattered (25 player) ). The new rules have been loaded in to the crawler and we should be good to go.
UPDATE: 10 player Coliseum bugs have been corrected. Please re-queue if you’re missing them!

Now the Colosseum links don’t work anymore =(
As a fellow programmer, I suspect it’s the apostophe.
August 6th, 2009 on 2:21 pm
Does this have anything to do with achievement earned last night being listed as “unranked”? Its been quite a few hours since some have been recorded. Art all Ulduar achievements now considered unranked since CC is out?
August 6th, 2009 on 7:23 pm
Hello,
I queued my guild again and again but our kill of Thorim with 18 guildies (checked in armory) hasn’t been recorded.
My guild is Never Dead – Vol’jin (EU)
August 6th, 2009 on 10:33 pm
@Venatori- Thanks! Too much late night/early morning coding lately =p
@Venar – Unranked kills/achievements will become ranked when the scoring computation run at 4am every day.
August 6th, 2009 on 10:40 pm
The armory has been a bit slow lately in updating so it may take slightly longer than usual to record kills

Great rating system, thanks a lot for developing!
What do you think about fact that patches comes out in different days on different servers, and part of guilds, in example, got 100 progress points for killing first boss in Coliseum, and other part got only 87.73 points, but both of them made a kill at first day in a few hours after patch on their server? Many guilds cannot get their real rating in world table just because of this. In example, Russian servers, maybe some other servers too. Do you thinking about change this in some way, or not?
Sorry for my English. Thanks.
August 8th, 2009 on 1:06 am
@Nick – That is something I have honestly not considered. I do show rankings per region but I can see how even those could be skewed based on time zone differences. I’ll try to come up with a solution for this.
August 8th, 2009 on 4:37 pm
Is there currently an issue causing the crawler to not scan guilds? Each time I click to have our guild crawled it tells me it has been crawled in the past hour but the time given is actually more than 16 hours earlier.
August 8th, 2009 on 5:34 pm
@Xeraxis – Sorry about that. This is fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out.

My guild killed the northrend beasts in 10m few days ago and have gotten no credit for it.. i have queued us several times trying to correct it.
server is Antonidas guild: Closure
thank you, Krendo
August 9th, 2009 on 4:13 pm
I have queued my guild several times, and it still does not show credit for the 10m Northrend Beasts kill. Server: Alleria Guild: Chronus
August 10th, 2009 on 6:11 am
I’m looking into why some Northrend Beasts kills aren’t showing up. Same thing is happening to my guild as well. From my initial search it seems some people who were at the kill didn’t get the partial achievement credit for “Defeat the Beasts of Northrend” in “Call of the Crusade”. Will keep digging…
August 10th, 2009 on 7:58 am
My guild killed HM General on the 7th and it still will not give us credit. I have tried multiple times to update my guild to no luck.
Aerbax, Resurrection, US-Ursin
August 10th, 2009 on 8:02 am
Our guild – RisK, Lightnings Blade EU have killed northrend beasts on both 10 man and 25 man, we have queued the guild several times but its not picking them up. It seems to be updating only Horde guilds and kills.
Any reason ??
August 10th, 2009 on 10:19 am
@Xxav
I just manually checked 10 of my guildies for the partial credit for the achievement for Northrend Beasts and I found all 10 had it (according to wowarmory).
The list of these guildies (on the Daggerspine-US server) in case you want to try to manually examine the XML:
– Venatori
– Auroros
– Darza
– Dewster
– Fiellixiang
– Knapp
– Moonjumper
– Revividor
– Satsujinken
– Xellia
I also just checked manually the XML (via http://www.wowarmory.com/character-achievements.xml?r=Daggerspine&cn=Venatori&c=168, replacing my name with the other toon’s names) and all 10 characters contain the text:
I’m not sure if you datamine the achievements via the same URL so that’s why I tried to be so detailed =P
August 10th, 2009 on 10:20 am
It seems it didn’t like the XML I copied and pasted. Here’s another try with the & codes…
<criteria date=”2009-08-08-07:00″ id=”11684″ name=”Defeat the Beasts of Northrend”/>
August 10th, 2009 on 1:18 pm
Our guild has not gotten credit for 10man Northrend Beast or the achievement “Not One, but Two Jormmungars”.
Fix coming soon?

August 10th, 2009 on 2:47 pm
@Belgariad
….. It seems to be updating only Horde guilds and kills.
Covenant on the Undermine realm has killed the beasts in 2 10m guild runs and a 25m full guild run and is Horde, so this bug is not just affecting Alliance players and guilds.
August 10th, 2009 on 4:41 pm
@Venatori – That is the URL I use to crawl for achievements ( the c=168 one). I’ll take a more in-depth look at it tonight and hopefully can figure out what is causing it.
August 10th, 2009 on 4:44 pm
Should be fixed now, sorry gang. Please re-queue and let me know if you still have issues.
August 10th, 2009 on 5:04 pm
Thanks for the quick response and fix! It’s working perfectly now (for my guild at least =P)
August 11th, 2009 on 1:09 am
Sorry to bother ya Xxav but covenant on Undermine realm is still not showing a 10m kill nor is it being ranked for 25m kill of northrend beasts.
August 11th, 2009 on 3:30 am
I tried queueing my guild again too, since we also have the 25man Northrend Beasts, and it still isnt showing, and now the submit to crawl link is not responding so I cant try it again. I’m sure you’re working on it, just thought Id follow up.
August 11th, 2009 on 6:53 am
I just made a few enhancements to the crawler to better handle large guilds. I think this should help correct some issues with kills not appearing. Go ahead and grab the latest crawler version if you’re running it.
August 11th, 2009 on 10:45 am
Xxav,
My guild still has not received credit for out “I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning (25 Player)” kill. I have updated each time you told me to. I updated to the latest crawler, crawled my own guild and still nothing.
I know there are at least 20 people in my guild with the achievement since I manually checked them to see if that was the problem.
Please help,
Aerbax, Resurrection, Ursin-US
August 11th, 2009 on 11:30 am
@Aerbax – Fixed finally
Thanks for pointing this out!
August 11th, 2009 on 12:31 pm
Heya Xxav,
The guild I am in, Aegis (US – Farstriders), killed Yogg-Saron for the first time on Sunday, August 9th. I and other guild members have updated the crawler since then a few times and there is no update for our success. There were 18 guild members in the raid at the time, so I can’t fathom that being the issue.
We have “The Descent into Madness (25 Player) achievement to show for it.
August 11th, 2009 on 7:58 pm
Looks like you fixed our boss kill. Thanks for the quick response to the issues. I’m sure patch days always create more programming corrections than you want, so I can appreciate what you do for the progression guilds. Keep up the good work.
August 12th, 2009 on 3:58 am
Hello Xxav,
It seems the progression for the entire Nagrand EU realm on ten man normal colloseum achievements hasnt been either ranked or updated. I hope you can fix this. My guild is Chimaera of nagrand EU and all its progress should be updated on the wow armory
Kind regards Shischka
August 12th, 2009 on 8:35 pm
thx for fixing the nagrand issue so fast Xxav
i was wondering about the guild badges they dont seem to work or atleast im not able to create a new one
Hope your as quick to fix this as the other issues lol
Kind regards Shishcka
August 12th, 2009 on 8:40 pm
Fixed. Sorry about that!
August 13th, 2009 on 3:53 am
Xxav.
Good job keeping on top of all this. keep up the good work.. it is appreciated.
August 13th, 2009 on 4:41 am
Xxav! Tyvm for keeping this up you might win an award fastest programmer out there lol
very much appreciated!!
August 13th, 2009 on 8:55 am
My guild wasn’t ranked first week when we killed 1st boss in Coliseum, but when we killed 2nd we got both.
August 13th, 2009 on 8:55 am
In 10m.
August 14th, 2009 on 11:39 am
I have a question about one thing. This guild http://wow.guildprogress.com/EU/%D0%A1%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B2/%D0%98%D0%BC%D0%BC%D0%BE%D1%80%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B8 got achievment Not One, But Two Jormungars at 08-05-2009, but this boss (Northrend Beasts) was killed at 08-09-2009 and system was showing this right. But today a day of kill changed to 08-05-2009. Why this happened?
August 16th, 2009 on 1:06 am
My guild Evil Deeds Inc Aggramar-US is ranked 9th in 10-Man colliseum when we have more achievements than people who are above us.
This doesn’t make much sense.
August 16th, 2009 on 7:08 am
http://wow.guildprogress.com/US/Aggramar/Evil_Deeds_Inc/score/Coliseum_10_player
Until we learn more about Coliseum, the achievements are currently not worth that much. In your case, the guilds above you have simply killed the bosses sooner than you.
August 16th, 2009 on 7:47 am
Xxav, what about my question? In which cases date of kill may change from one to another (to sooner, in my example)? Thanks.
August 22nd, 2009 on 3:59 pm
The date changed because of a new feature I put in place last week which should provide more accurate kill dates. Partial achievements, which are used to track some boss kills, do not record their date on the WoW Armory. So the crawler defaults to the date it is crawled. I changed it so that relevant achievements that are completed upon killing of a boss will correct these dates. For example, if a guild has a date for Hodir as August 20th but they have a date of the achievement “I Have the Coolest Friends” as August 19th, it only makes sense that the Hodir kill was actually the 19th. Hope this makes sense.
August 23rd, 2009 on 5:44 pm
This is not good for encounters, where raid can get achievment before encounter completes. Example with “I have the coolest friends” is good, but, in example, “Kiss Sara”(dont remember exact name) doesnt mean that Yogg-Saron is killed, and “Not one, but two yormungars” doesnt mean that Northrend Beasts is killed too
It can make a sense now – if guild will not be able to kill Anub’arak at first day it comes, but will be able to achieve “The Traitor King” (kill 40 scarabs in 30 sec), and then after few days guild will kill Anub’arak, date of kill will be the first day when Anub’arak has appeared?
August 23rd, 2009 on 5:50 pm
It only applies to achievements that are completed on boss kills. Not /kiss for example. I do see now that I made an error in including “Not one, but Two…” and will fix it now.
