Achievements Added to RSS Feeds
by Xxav on July 31, 2009, 8:55 am, under World of Warcraft
I just finished adding achievements to the RSS feeds along with some new information in the feed on kill/achievement ranks. I also increased the size to 20.
You can subscribe to these feeds by clicking the RSS icon
that appear on any server or guild page.
If you have no idea what RSS is then you can check this link out: http://www.whatisrss.com/
Guild Comments Added
by Xxav on July 29, 2009, 10:56 pm, under Site Updates
You now have the ability to post comments about a guild on their guild page. Just click the Comments button in the guild sidebar. This is a very simple comment system that I will improve upon if it seems like people are using it. Guild leaders could also use this spot to advertise guild recruitment information.
Please feel free to share any thoughts you have about the new addition here.
In case you are having trouble submitting a comment, make sure you drag the slider next to the submit button all the way to the right before clicking submit. This is done to prevent bots from spamming comments. Enjoy!
Site Slowdowns FIXED
by Xxav on July 13, 2009, 4:38 am, under World of Warcraft
The site is getting hammered right now with traffic for some reason. It’s 4:30am EST on a Monday…
I apologize for the slow load times and will work with my host to find a solution.
Thanks for stopping by! Where is everyone coming from?
UPDATE: I think I isolated the problem and corrected it. I’ve also noticed a lot of guilds being manually queued up lately for crawling. While we’re currently crawling about 1000 guilds an hour, we can always go faster. If you want to help with that please check out http://crawler.guildprogress.com.
UPDATE 2: I am pausing the crawling for a short time while I make a few changes to fix the slowness.
UPDATE 3: I *think* most of the problems are now corrected.
Ward of Elements?
by Xxav on July 12, 2009, 3:12 am, under EverQuest 2
Would users of the EQ2 section like to see the Ward of Elements (12-player dungeon) added to progression tracking?
Tooltips Expanded
by Xxav on July 11, 2009, 6:09 am, under Site Updates
The tooltips on the main chart now contain more information. You can mouse now over a table cell to view what bosses the guild has and has not completed in that zone. This tooltip will also display significant achievements as well total achievements completed in the zone. The goal here is to make it easy to get to the data you want to see.
You’ll also notice the new ‘Hard Mode’ column for Ulduar. These achievements now play a large role in how the guilds are ranked.
The guild charts may be revamped soon to include the new focus on ‘Hard Mode’ achievements. Enjoy!
