Crawler Server Select Option Added
by Xxav on May 29, 2009, 11:46 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft
Due to popular demand, I updated the crawler so that you will be able to choose which server you want to spend the majority of the time crawling. Just select your server from the dropdown list and that server will be focused on. Half of your crawling time will be used to crawl the chosen server and the other half will continue to crawl guilds worldwide. This way ensures that guilds will still be crawled if no one has that server selected. I did not force this update onto current users, however, anyone interested should head to the crawler page. If you run into any problems feel free to contact me here.
EU Guilds Flagged As “Not enough members”
by Xxav on May 29, 2009, 5:57 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft
Just a heads up that I am trying to figure out why a handful of EU guilds have been marked as not having enough members. This doesn’t affect the scoring at all so please do not panic if you see your guild being marked as such. Requeueing the guild should resolve the problem.
Missing Kills
by Xxav on May 6, 2009, 1:18 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft
I isolated a bug in the crawler program that caused completed multiple part achievements to not be recorded properly. This was due to a small change in the Armory that was throwing the crawler off. So unfortunately this means a forced upgrade to those of you using the crawler but we should now be able to fill in some of the missing kills for some guilds. Thanks for crawling!
PS – If you emailed me about missing kills please try to requeue your guild again. If it still does not find your missing kills then send me another message.
Achievement Values Lowered
by Xxav on May 5, 2009, 1:30 pm, under World of Warcraft
I went ahead a lowered the amount an achievement is worth from 25% of a boss kill down to 16% of a boss kill. So if you notice the rankings shifting a bit, this is why. The value of achievements will probably be raised once the majority of the guilds have beaten Ulduar. Currently, however, more emphasis is going to be placed on killing bosses.
