Web Server Moved

by Xxav on April 20, 2009, 9:38 pm, under Site Updates

Due to the huge amount of traffic in the past few days, I’ve had to go ahead and find a new home for the site. I plan to begin migrating to the new host shortly. The site should still be available during this time, however, crawling and any other database related function will be interrupted.

Server move is complete :)

Boss Kill Date Corrections

by Xxav on April 20, 2009, 7:52 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft

The crawler has just been updated to correctly process “partial” achievements. Before it was assigning the wrong kill dates when only part of an achievement had been completed, such as “The Siege of Ulduar.” If you notice an inaccurate boss kill date for your guild please requeue it and it should be corrected. This also means you will need to redownload the crawler before contributing more data. Thanks again for helping!

Zoom Zoom

by Xxav on April 19, 2009, 5:47 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft

I just wanted to thank everyone who has been running our crawler since 3.1 patch. We’ve been able to crawl over 3000 guilds an hour and have decreased queue times dramatically.

I have ideas for a lot of new features that I will be implementing in the near future and look forward to unveiling them to you soon. Thanks for your continued support!

Crawler Bug Fixed

by Xxav on April 16, 2009, 5:46 pm, under WoW Crawler, World of Warcraft

I just fixed a bug in the crawler that was causing some kills to not be recorded. Specifically, 10-man Ulduar kills. If you notice some of these kills missing for your guild please queue your guild and they should now be detected.

The new version of the crawler also has a few stats listed while running so you can see how much you’ve contributed that session. Many thanks to those who help make the site more accurate and up to date!
